Festive Christmas Focaccia

Ingredients

  • Uni-president My Day Home Made Flour (350g)
  • Salt (6g)
  • Yeast (3g)
  • Sugar (15g)
  • Water (250g)
  • Olive Oil (25g)
  • Zucchini (1g)
  • Red & Yellow Pepper Bell (1g)

Step 1

Combine flour, salt, yeast, sugar as well as water & mix well. Once dough is formed, add in the olive oil & mix until it absorb.

Step 2

Let the dough rest fro 30-60 mins before folding the dough with wet hands (to prevent the dough from sticking onto your hands).

Fold for 3 times before refrigerate the dough for 12 hrs.

Step 3

Oil the cast iron pan before placing the dough smooth surface upwards & ferment the dough for another 2 hours

Step 4

Once fermented, oil your fingers before poking holes into the dough.

You may add some Italian spices here to increase the aroma.

Step 5

Slice zucchini & bell peppers to create a christmas tree design on the dough. Ensure the vegetables are well pressed into the dough so that it wont fall off while it bakes.

Step 6

Ensure the oven is preheated 30 mins before the fermentation ended & bake at 220°C for 20-25 mins.

Once baked, let the focaccia cool before removing them from the cast iron.
