Recipe for a Sweet & Tangy Chocolate Black Forest
Ingredients
- Uni-President My Day Home Made Bread Flour (250g)
- Salt (2g)
- 1 Whole Egg
- Milk (170g)
- Fine Sugar (45g)
- Lesaffre Saf-Instant Dry Baker's Yeast (3g)
- Cocoa Powder (13g)
- Butter (35g)

Making the Dough
Mix all ingredients until dough and surface is smooth before adding in the soften room temperature butter.
Fermentation
Let the dough rest and ferment for 60 minutes in room temperature. (Cling wrap the dough to prevent the skin from drying)
Shaping
Divide the dough into equal 60g and shape it round before letting it rest further for 20 minutes.
Molding
Flatten the dough and roll it into a long dough string at approx 20cm.
Baking
Wrap the dough in a corn mold before proofing the dough at 35°c for 50 minutes. After 50 minutes, bake the dough in the oven for 10-13 minutes at 200/180°c.
Decorate & Enjoy
After baking, let the bread cool before decorating the bread with melted chocolate or sprinkles of your choice and enjoy !
